Heat Time in Florence

July and August can be really hot, in Florence, so much that kids and elderly people are recommended to stay indoors around noon.

At our place, two rooms lack air conditioners: Kiwi and Zagara. The reason is that the flat where they are located used to be a stable in the 1800s, with very thick walls, and that made it impossible to drill into them without putting the entire building at risk. There is a ventilator in each room, though, and so far none of our guests has complained. Nevertheless, we suggest you reserve one of the other rooms or the Casina if you absolutely need to freeze inside;) Otherwise, the best way to skip the hot hours of the day is to  spend them inside one of our magnificent churches or museums.

Needless to say, the use of air conditioners has to be limited to the hours one is in the room, as a sign of respect primarily towards our environment. Thank you♥
